Do You Feel At Home? #02
Pikadori was a four-piece emo/post-hardcore outfit out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that existed between 2000 to 2003. Members included: Jacob Leger, Joey Vesely, Joel Grimes, and Jason Kirker. Some of their previous projects were bands 53rd State,
Infinity, All the Quiet, and The Great Eastern, so they'd been around well before Pikadori. While I don't know too much about the bands history, it's not like there's too much to find. They did things that every band does, and that's play shows, and a good amount of them! These boys played shows with the likes of He Taught Me Lies (an amazing band), Suicide Note, The Breather Resistance (changed name to Movement Three, ((not to be confused with Breather Resist)), Kodan Armada, Lickgoldensky, Virginia Black Lung, and Io (also an amazing band). That's all just from 2002, so they kept themselves rather busy!
Anyway, output would not be the correct word to use, as their "output" only consisted of one self-titled CD that they released back in the spring of 2002. Maybe some demo tapes are floating around somewhere in Pittsburgh, but I have no way of knowing. (Though I'd love to) Now, as is sometimes tradition, they hosted a release show for the aforementioned disc. The show was played @ The Mr.Roboto Project on March 15, 2002, with The Alpha Control Group C, He Taught Me Lies, and Io. Thankfully, Joel tossed some recordings of the show up on Youtube many years ago, and they're still up at the time of writing! Looked like a killer show!
